Specialized in developing artificial intelligence models, Technium found in Elven the infrastructure, cloud and SRE partner to strengthen and scale the operation of its models in production — with scalability, security and 30% lower cloud costs.

The Challenge
Technium specializes in developing artificial intelligence models and has an agile, highly specialized data science team. Historically, its work focused on creating and implementing custom AI solutions for its clients.
As it expanded into operating and maintaining environments, Technium saw an opportunity to evolve its infrastructure in terms of automation, standardization and scale. The partnership with Elven brought in complementary skills in cloud, SRE and security, allowing the team to stay focused on data science and accelerate this new stage of growth.
"Technium's team has its excellence concentrated in data science. The partnership with Elven was essential to complement that specialization with infrastructure and software engineering skills, expanding our delivery capacity." — David Quintão, Technium
The Solution
Elven worked side by side with Technium's technical team to restructure the way models reach production. For products that require scale and high availability, the platform migrated to Kubernetes, gaining horizontal scalability, robustness and uptime far superior to the previous VM-based model.
For projects that don't need the full complexity of Kubernetes, Elven implemented containerized environments on ECS provisioned via Terraform — infrastructure as code that spins up identical environments dozens of times with consistent results, increasing environment consistency and reducing operational risk.
Efficiency, security and knowledge
On the FinOps side, Elven led a review and optimization of cloud resources, right-sized machine types and introduced Spot instances — keeping services resilient at a much lower cost. On security, it optimized the existing VPN and reinforced data protection best practices in production.
Perhaps the most lasting gain was knowledge transfer: through weekly meetings and day-to-day work, Technium's engineers absorbed Kubernetes, Terraform and cloud practices that they now apply on their own. All of this supports Technium's internal goal of delivering a new version every 30 days.
Self-healing infrastructure ensures that if a machine goes down for any reason, a new one automatically spins up in its place — significantly increasing resilience and operational safety.
With the new infrastructure foundation, Technium runs artificial intelligence models reliably in domains that demand real availability and performance.
Skin disease detection through image analysis, connecting AI models to sensitive health data following best practices.
A workplace accident prediction product — applied in mining — that processes audio, text and images and generates prescriptive reports.
Intelligent analysis of documents and images to support engineering and construction processes.
Interactive language-learning platforms with real-time feedback, as well as conversational systems.
Models built on historical and tabular data that replace traditional BI with predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Critical systems for organizations such as FIEMG, with more than 10,000 employees, that cannot go down.
The partnership with Elven reduced costs, sped up solutions, increased security and gave Technium the foundation to create its new product area.
Cleaning up idle resources, right-sizing instances and using Spot machines cut cloud costs by around 30% — along with internal process costs.
The response time of the models and systems delivered to clients dropped dramatically with the new Kubernetes and ECS architecture.
Self-healing machines, higher uptime and stronger data security drastically reduced outages and incidents.
Technium's engineers absorbed Kubernetes, Terraform and cloud practices and now apply them independently in their day-to-day work.
With automated processes and robust infrastructure, Technium built a new business pillar: recurring maintenance and support.
Automation and standardization support Technium's ambitious goal of delivering a new version to clients every 30 days, with fewer failures.
It was a really good experience. The Elven team is very helpful, always proposing improvements and very patient. You gave us that initial kick-start, our infrastructure became much more robust and our problems dropped drastically.
The Partnership
Technium stays focused on what it does best — developing cutting-edge artificial intelligence models — while Elven now supports the evolution of the platform layer, in collaboration with Technium's team: infrastructure, cloud, SRE, observability and security. It's a win-win model in which each company extends its reach and delivers more value to the end client.
More than a one-off project, the relationship continues as a long-term strategic partnership, with Elven among Technium's partners for all AI support areas.
Why it works
Elven has traveled exactly the journey Technium is now starting: years of service projects before productizing observability and incident management platforms. That experience allows Elven to advise Technium on what is worth turning into a product and how to keep environments generating value sustainably.
"You are among Technium's strategic partners for AI support areas. We'll be working together even more in the future." — David Quintão, Technium
Just like Technium, count on Elven for infrastructure, cloud, SRE and observability — from the lab to production, with costs under control.
